Produced by Marija Petrovic at 105 E 6th Street Jacksonville, FL 32206 in a cottage food operation that is not subject to Florida’s food safety regulations.

Red Root or its botanical name Ceanothus americanus. Native to North America. It was drunk during the American Revolution as tea, it is quite bitter and has a “bite to it”.  

Is known for its antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, astringent herbal actions and stimulants of the lymph and tones the spleen. Its use is beneficial in liver and lymph stagnation, fibrocystic glands, Mononucleosis, and various forms of bacterial and viral infections.

American eclectic physicians used it for injured legs and sores caused by sexually transmitted diseases. It may coagulate the blood and should be avoided if anticoagulants are prescribed or other health conditions. Please avoid using with coagulants or anticoagulants. Its constituents are betuline, American, methyl salicylate, flavonoids, tannins, iron, copper, zinc, magnesium and calcium.
