English Lavender: Is NOT from England but from the Mediterranean such as France. It is a wordy shrub that gives away purple-blue flowers with a sweet aroma.

Its botanical name is Lavandula angustifolia It has antibacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-inflammatory effects as well as sedatives and many more effects. It has been used for depression, dementia cancer, nervousness, and pain. Volatile oils (linalool), limonene, linalyl acetate, terpene, coumarin, tannin, caffeic acid, and camphor are considered to be the major constituents of lavender. However, various species have varying relative concentrations of each of these chemicals. It has been used in aroma therapy as lavender essential oil as well as its parts being used in perfumery and cosmetics. Lavender has been used medicinally for ages for regulating heart issues to reduce cholesterol, eliminate pain,and help with digestive issues as well as memory issues.
